Music Video Blog

The road to music video was bumpy. However, to every road there is times where it is smooth, which is exactly how I felt in the process. From trying to figure out what to do and making the final touches, I can say I have a lot of fun. Working with friends and getting to go hang out outside of school are times I will remember for a long time. Attempting to do something I thought was scary and boring but finding out I actually enjoy it is pretty ironic. I had a lot of fun despite some tough moments. Trying to figure out through time schedules was the hardest. I believe that I worked the hardest and took this project more seriously than my other partners, they still came through when they had to. I really enjoyed this project and is my favorite so far. I am excited to see what the next project is.

Transitions with Technology

I am not a big editor and since Sofia didn’t act, she would do majority of editing. I didn’t want her to do  everything,  so I stepped in. Since all the filming was done on my phone, I combined all the videos into one. From there I started to cut. I watched each scen e and kept an eye on the time. I also made sure to keep the lyrics in mind because each scene had to match up to each lyric.  I  couldn’t  film the transition scene at Siena’s house, so I did it yesterday at my house. I got into my pajamas that I was wearing in the scene. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the blue long s leeved  shirt,  so I just used a black tank top.  I cleaned my bathroom and moved some things around so the ‘set’ would be perfect.  I set up my  tripod,  so it was easier to edit and film. I filmed myself walking into the bathroom, yawning, and ducking down. I did this a few times.  I accidentally moved the tripod a little  bit,  but I didn’t realize until after.  Then I got changed into the other pair of c

Jumping in the Freezing Pool

We were supposed to film on Sunday; however, I had a cheer competition, but I was still going to go  over to  Siena’s house after it was done. However, I got done at 4:00 P.M. and it was a school night so I couldn’t go.  This messed up all my plans, but I said that Tuesday is my free  day,  and we will film then.  On Tuesday we got into Siena’s car and drove to her house. When I got  there,  I immediately changed into my pajamas.  I went onto Netflix and put Twilight on the TV and got on the couch. Sofia filmed behind  us,  and I was holding the popcorn and eating it. Then we got a shot from t he front and pretended to watch the movie and laugh and talk about it. Siena’s dog kept getting in the shot and messing it up.  Next, I got a  pillow,  and we had a pillow fight. In the first shot the dog got in my way. Once we moved  her,  we shot it again. It was very awkward.  Then we got into our bathing suits and headed outside to the pool. I knew the pool was going to be  cold,  so I put my

Walking Around in Heels

Once majority of the filming was done at Siena’s house, the Galleria Mall was our next location.  I also brought flip flops because I did not want to walk around the whole mall in heels after filming.  The first scen e that was shot was  an entrance into the mall.  Siena, Camille, and I walked into the mall  and that was it for that scene .   It was sort of embarrassing at first because some people walked into the  shot  and we had to wait for a clear pathway.  Also, I had Sofia take a picture of me for memories.   Luckily, the next scene was close by. The next scene was a store named  Alter’d  State. I was filmed from the  back and entered the store with my little “entourage”. I looked around the store for a cute dress and I found a pink one I liked. Once I  got into the fitting  room,  I realized it was one  shouldered . I hate one shoulder dresses. I swapped dresses with Siena and now had another pink one.  It was big on me even though it was an extra small. I fixed the  dress  so i

Acting Over and Over

During Thanksgiving break my group and I met at Siena's house. My mom got off early that day and Sofia and I didn't have a ride for Siena's house since she lives far away. I brought her with me to my moms job and left for her house at one. Once I got there I immediately got ready. I brought my blue and white plaid coat from Hollister, a black top that ties in the back and a black and white plaid skirt from Garage, black heels, black sunglasses, a Kate Spade purse, and pajamas. I also decided it would be best to film on my phone since it is the newest phone out of all of us. Once I was ready I filmed stair scene. I walked down the stairs and then realized it was filmed vertically instead of horizontally. After I shot 6 videos, I realized I needed car keys so I had to do it again. I filmed this scene at least 8 times, walking up and down the stairs continuously. After I got the perfect shot, Siena and Camille went out the door and I walked up to the door, opened it, hugged th
