Jumping in the Freezing Pool

We were supposed to film on Sunday; however, I had a cheer competition, but I was still going to go over to Siena’s house after it was done. However, I got done at 4:00 P.M. and it was a school night so I couldn’t go. This messed up all my plans, but I said that Tuesday is my free day, and we will film then. On Tuesday we got into Siena’s car and drove to her house. When I got there, I immediately changed into my pajamas. I went onto Netflix and put Twilight on the TV and got on the couch. Sofia filmed behind us, and I was holding the popcorn and eating it. Then we got a shot from the front and pretended to watch the movie and laugh and talk about it. Siena’s dog kept getting in the shot and messing it up. Next, I got a pillow, and we had a pillow fight. In the first shot the dog got in my way. Once we moved her, we shot it again. It was very awkward. Then we got into our bathing suits and headed outside to the pool. I knew the pool was going to be cold, so I put my foot in and it was freezing. The three of us went on the ledge, I was on the right, Camille was in the middle, and Siena was on the left. We did a practice round because we only had one chance to shoot this while being dry. Then we jumped in, and I put my legs up and my arms up. I was on the left and not the middle because I am the shortest and had to go to the shallowest part. I was scared because I didn’t know how shallow it was. However, it wasn’t too shallow when I jumped in. I told Sofia to just keep filming while we were in the pool because we might get some good shots. Then I got out of the pool and the next scene was us walking up the two steps and grabbing towels.

Filming With Sofia

Thursday was also the day that Sofia and I filmed together. First we had to get the scene with Lauren on the TV. I had to go on my phone and connect it to the TV so we could get the first scene on it. I had to email it to Lauren then go on her computer and that's how it connected to the TV. Once I got it on the TV we started scene two. I changed into jean shorts and a brown shirt. I also put on my Converse. We sat on Lauren's couch and I put the remote right next to me. I got my tripod and angled it to how I wanted. Originally we wanted to have Lauren move with us, but I decided that she should just stay there. I pressed the record button and went to the couch. I told Lauren to play the last ten seconds. After doing the scene three times, I realized that I wanted to change our lines. Messy Makeup and Crazy Clothes

The countdown of starting to film the final task video has begun. I decided it would be a good idea to start gathering the props, makeup, and costumes necessary. Out of the four of us, I would say I have the widest range, and best closet to use. I went through a massive makeup obsession about three years ago and received a bunch of makeup. Yesterday, I decided to go through it and pick out some good palettes. I chose the “Conspiracy” palette by Jeffree Star and the “Morphe x James Charles” palette. It has all kinds of blues, yellows, whites, purples, reds, and blacks. Then I looked up some makeup tutorials on YouTube to test out how to make fake bruises and marks. It turned out way better than I thought. Then I went onto the costumes. I used some from my closet and some from the clothes I bought this weekend with the intent to use it for the video. Group Blog

For the commercial project I am working with Sofia Grajales and Camille Keith. I just recently met the two of them though. Even though we just met, we are already the best of friends. We enjoy each others company and always have a great time when we are together. However, I haven't worked with them on a school project or assignment before. Working with friends can be tricky because it is easier to get sidetracked. Also, I don't know how their dedication is in school and how well they preform. Although, I am good at staying on task and making sure everything is getting done. Since we are all good friends there is very little doubt they will let me down in this project. I am a very hard worker especially when it comes to group projects. I always make sure to do my part. I hope that my partners have the same mentality as me because if they do we can work wonders on this project. I can only hope that they work well in groups.
