Messy Makeup and Crazy Clothes

The countdown of starting to film the final task video has begun. I decided it would be a good idea to start gathering the props, makeup, and costumes necessary. Out of the four of us, I would say I have the widest range, and best closet to use. I went through a massive makeup obsession about three years ago and received a bunch of makeup. Yesterday, I decided to go through it and pick out some good palettes. I chose the “Conspiracy” palette by Jeffree Star and the “Morphe x James Charles” palette. It has all kinds of blues, yellows, whites, purples, reds, and blacks. Then I looked up some makeup tutorials on YouTube to test out how to make fake bruises and marks. It turned out way better than I thought. Then I went onto the costumes. I used some from my closet and some from the clothes I bought this weekend with the intent to use it for the video. I tried on multiple outfits and changed about 20 times. I am going to use one of my plain white shirts for Riley in scene six when she is standing staring at Sophie. I boiled some water in a pot on the stove and used about seven tea bags. Once I let the tea bags sit in the water for about 30 minutes, I dipped a white shirt in and left it in there for about 45 minutes. I rinsed it off, dabbed it with the remaining tea bags, and then put it in the dryer. Then I ripped it up with a razor, stretched it out, used some of my makeup to look “dirty” and “distressed”, and dropped some red paint on it to make it look like blood. I, aka Sophie, will be black shorts and a black hoodie. I bought a dress for the funeral scene at PacSun this weekend. It is a plain black dress with a matching black cardigan. I might use these new white wedges for that scene. I also picked out some regular pajamas, a black leather jacket for the news anchor (Dakota), jean shorts and a tank top, and a black hoodie for the final scene. Last, I gathered up all the props I could find around my house. My mother has a karaoke microphone so I will have Lauren use that for the news broadcast. I have mascara and car keys that I will use for the second scene. Then I made and printed out the pictures for the last scene. I took pictures of Sofia and I and printed those out too. I used the same fonts as the titles on the “list”. Then I black gloves black and put on different red lipsticks and wiped them off with a cloth for the last scene.
