Title Website Research

We decided to research ‘Art of the Title’ as our first website. The front page alone was very eye catching. We were very confused about this project until we found this website. It is hard to come up with ideas when you don’t even know what you like. The website includes a tab that is labeled “Designers + Studios”. After clicking on it, over 100 names of designers were listed. Also, over 20 studios as well. We went through the majority of the designers and read a little bit about them and what they have done. We all gain some inspiration and new ideas that we can include in our film. Reading about some of the studios and how they were involved in the creation of a film, was interesting to read about. Looking through the different titles that are associated with the movie on the “Title Sequences” tab, showed us how to link our genre and title of our film.

Similar to the other website, this one also was eye catching. Plus, it had the tabs “Designer”, “Studios”, and “Title Sequences”. What set this website apart from others was the detail under the “Title Sequences” tab. It had six little tabs underneath it. Also, it didn’t just show title sequences of films like the other website(s). It showed TV shows, video games, even student projects. We think it is good to see films but being exposed to other types of things will further our knowledge of this subject. This only led to more inspiration. The films listed on this website were different and more diverse. This website's ability to show their ‘diversity’ attracted us to it more than others. Also, it mainly had the same designers and studios as the other website.

Expert Editor Blog

Today was a very stressful day for me. It was editing day one. I am not familiar with editing and I work better with the filming. However, with one out our group partners out sick, I had to most of the editing. I couldn't find my charger for my phone so I could plug it into my computer so I can import the videos onto it so I asked around. No one had a charger but luckily I found mine at the very bottom of my backpack. Once I imported everything I need onto my computer, I tried to download some editing apps on my computer, but with a bunch of students, teachers, and staff on the same Wi-Fi, it was really slow. Then I tried to download some editing apps on my phone, but I had no service in the classroom. Thankfully I already downloaded iMovie a week ago on my phone. I started to edit on there and realized it was harder than I thought. My other groupmate and I filmed the intro scene and we finally had all the filming material. Walking Around in Heels

Once majority of the filming was done at Siena’s house, the Galleria Mall was our next location.  I also brought flip flops because I did not want to walk around the whole mall in heels after filming.  The first scen e that was shot was  an entrance into the mall.  Siena, Camille, and I walked into the mall  and that was it for that scene .   It was sort of embarrassing at first because some people walked into the  shot  and we had to wait for a clear pathway.  Also, I had Sofia take a picture of me for memories.   Luckily, the next scene was close by. The next scene was a store named  Alter’d  State. I was filmed from the  back and entered the store with my little “entourage”.
