Editing With Something New

I've never been good at editing. However, this year has taught me a lot more. It also showed me that I can edit better than I expected. One of my friends Lily is also taking this class. I asked her for any suggestions of good editing apps. This whole time I have used iMovie, but I wanted a new one. After talking to her, I downloaded CapCut. Since my sister is an "editing pro" I asked her to help me. She showed me around the app and how to work it. Since we filmed everything on my phone I added all the videos on the app and combined them. After that, I had to make sure it was all in order. I only added the first, second, and part of the third scene. I had to watch each video and pick the final part I wanted. When I film I just keep recording until I feel I got the one in the few I filmed. Then I want onto YouTube and searched up the music. Then I wrote down the amount of time I need the music to be. Also, I only searched up the music that is need for the parts of the first, second, and third scenes that need music. I uploaded it onto the clips. I sent it to the groupchat with my two partners to get some feedback. They said it was really good and were happy with how it was turning out.

Big Changes and Disappointing Weather

I originally planned to work with Lauren this past Monday. Unfortunately, the weather got pretty rainy this weekend and carried onto Monday. I didn’t want the background to be all gloomy and rainy, so I cancelled. Also, the wind has been out of control. I also didn’t want the audio to be unclear because of all the wind. I was pretty upset, but we are most likely going to film on Wednesday or Thursday. Thursday is the ideal day to film because we have an early release . Also, I made the executive decision to switch Sofia’s and Camille’s roles. It was just better to switch them because Sofia, Lauren, and I live within five minutes of each other. Filming With Sofia

Thursday was also the day that Sofia and I filmed together. First we had to get the scene with Lauren on the TV. I had to go on my phone and connect it to the TV so we could get the first scene on it. I had to email it to Lauren then go on her computer and that's how it connected to the TV. Once I got it on the TV we started scene two. I changed into jean shorts and a brown shirt. I also put on my Converse. We sat on Lauren's couch and I put the remote right next to me. I got my tripod and angled it to how I wanted. Originally we wanted to have Lauren move with us, but I decided that she should just stay there. I pressed the record button and went to the couch. I told Lauren to play the last ten seconds. After doing the scene three times, I realized that I wanted to change our lines. I decided that instead of talking, I would only say "I just can't" and kind of stutter. I would do this right at the end of the scene. Then I walked out of the camera. We got it in on
